Dining Lot Grand Opening: Live Music, Cultural Crafts, Giveaways & More
Lahaina Cannery is proud to announce the grand opening of the Dining Lot on Friday, August 1st, welcoming the public to Maui’s only indoor food truck dining experience. The Dining Lot offers a fully air-conditioned, casual dining space featuring a handpicked lineup of local food vendors.
To celebrate, Lahaina Cannery is hosting a free community event from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a full schedule of entertainment, giveaways, and cultural activities for all ages.
DINING LOT GRAND OPENING SCHEDULE – FRIDAY, AUGUST 1
- 4:00PM – Blessing Ceremony
- 5:00PM – Special Performance by Napua Silva and H?lau N? Lei Kaumaka o Uka
- 6:00PM – Live music by Nuff Sedd
Cultural crafts will be offered throughout the event, starting with lei Ku’i at 4:00 PM, followed by Lei Po’o at 5:00 PM, and finishing with the creation of flower hair clips at 6:00 PM.
Local vendors will also be participating, offering unique products and handmade goods for guests to explore and enjoy throughout the evening.
Featured food trucks and grand opening specials include tasty deal like buy-one-get-one dessert crepes at Gourmandise and free gifts at Ganotisi’s Pacific Rim Cuisine, where the first 50 customers spending $25 or more get a reusable insulated bag. Ganotisi’s is also hosting a Taste & Tag Challenge for a chance to win gift cards. Sergio’s Cantina offers three carnitas tacos for $12, Lahaina Thai Ono is giving a free veggie roll with any entrée, and Lahaina Sushi Ko includes a free simple maki roll with the purchase of two special rolls.
Participating merchants and special offers feature free 5x7 prints for keiki, while supplies last and 30% off art for Kama‘?ina at Lahaina Printsellers. Serendipity offers 25% off a second sale item. Maui Toy Works is giving away a free Uno Card Game with $30 purchases. KaiAloha Supply will raffle off two bestselling bags, and register for a chance to win a $50 gift card with Crazy Shirts. After 4 PM use code CANNERY with the purchase of any sub & get a free chip & drink combo, available only at the Lahaina Cannery Jersey Mike’s location. 20% off all regular priced merchandise at HIC with a valid receipt from any of the food trucks (same-day receipts only). *Excludes surfboards, bodyboards, and Yeti products. Lahaina Cannery also continues to host free cultural programming for the community, including Zumba classes every Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, weekly cultural crafts every Wednesday from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, hula lessons on Thursdays from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM and hula shows every Sunday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Plus, the Lahaina Arts Society (LAS) gathers every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM on the lawn area of the parking lot. Come talk story with local artists featuring paintings, glass art, ceramics, photography, woodcarving, jewelry, and more!
